There are soo many good tutorials out there for modeling in Maya, So here are a few I personally like (posted in viewing order) to get you from 0 to having a reasonable understanding of how to make stuff. I should say I’m expecting that you’ve already got a working understanding of Maya’s UI, if not start with going through Lynda.com’s 2018 Essential Training or the Maya Core Skill’s Series from pluralsight.com. Once your up to speed on the basics, the following tutorials will get you started with modeling. The logical flow of the following tutorials is just to get you into modeling, starting with 1 larger project so you understand a straight forward box modeling work flow, and from there learning how to solve specific topological challenges. Then introducing you to deformers and their potential applications.
